The world is against Islam. So many christians and jews abuse the muslims and islam and its teaching and prophet muhammed. They say he was homosexual when he never was and bring up the worst things about Islam. But do we muslims abuse other relegions. Why? because Jesus, moses were our prophet and we are meant to respect them and love them but why is everything against Islam, the muslims. Everything from media to people are agaisnt the muslims. Is it jealousy because it is growing fast or is it that other people are just taking advantage of the muslim's innocence

salaamo laikum brother
maybe it is Allahs SWT will that we are to suffer this persuction. maybe Allah SWT is testing our faith...will we stay Muslim because we believe and have the trust to Allah. or will we leave our Islam because we are ashamed of what the ppl say. then we would become ashamed of Allah. Maybe this is what Allah SWT is testing us for...He knows us better than we know ourselves...it's not that we have to prove anything to Him...He already knows...it is because we have free will and have to prove it to ourselves of the choses we make. let them talk about us...THE PPL CAN TRY TO TAKE OUR DIGNITY...BUT THEY WILL NEVER TAKE OUR FAITH INSHALLAH

I am not a Muslim. I am Christian. I have never knowingly abused or denigrated any way members of other religions. My view is that at the basis of all religions is the respect for God or whatever he is called in a particular religion, and respect for all mankind. The majority of people do this and it only tends to be a minority in each religion that distort or misinterpret the teachings for their own ends. The other big problem is that so many people although termed as being of a particular religion are not religious at all in the true sense but will react very violently or loudly when their perceived religion is criticised. I could quote the recent demonstrations against the European cartoons , what does it matter what others may say it doesn't alter your true belief and in my view only makes relations between the religions worse rather than improve them as I am sure that the majority would want. Please don't tar all Christians with the same brush as I am sure that all Muslims are not hotheads or terrorists. The world is not against Islam as such. Only those who choose to take the name of Allah in vain.

Try a lack of understanding....The same happened to Jesus' disciples in the early days of the Christian Church.
Also look at what is happening in Java & Indonesia, this area was a mixture of religions which all used to live in peace, but since the arrival of Muslims missionaries there over the last 15 years they have set about destroying this and killing others for their beliefs ( I know this due to the fact that I had some friend who lived there and have had to leave the country, they used to help run a Christian school there. The school building was used by the Muslims as a prison and then with all the none believers trapped inside was burnt down killing everyone in it!) So my response is not from information by the media but by fact!
Then Look at Hitler and how he & his country treated the Jews during the war.
People are scared of something that is different.

Hello Thariq-s

I don't abuse Islam or Muslims.

The problem is that most of the British people want to remain just that British and when you hear the news and you have some Muslim extremists saying that eventually Muslims want to take over our Country then even I start to think hang on.

I am a Christian and to me being a Christian is about loving thy neighbour, helping anyone that needs it and basically trying to be a human being that people know they cant trust.

The problem is that a few Muslims give the rest of the peace loving Muslims a bad name.

I hope eventually things improve and we can all live together in peace.

Take care

Sorry my Muslim friend. The reason people are like this is because of ignorance. They are choosing to pick and choose parts of your religion that look bad and decide that your religion is bad. Its not fair and I sympathise with you. If only all religions saw that the basis of most belief is about love, respect and understanding the world would be a better place.
A lot of the hype is due to the media's perception. They think all Muslims are either oppressed or terrorist, which just isn't true. This is a very, very, very very poor misrepresentation. Brother I think that you should spread the good word of Islam and let others no that your religion teaches peace and not hate.

Hey Thariq,

I am a Muslim and I understamd where you are coming from. Until Muslims start practising the Sunnah (the way of the prophet) we will alway be the centre of hatred. We have all unfortunately abonded the sunnah and have taken religions into our own hand by killing ourselves and others with us. Do you know the punishment for suicide? Can you imagine what it would be like combined with murder? And so the Muslim Ummah must return to sunnah and then we will get the respect we deserve.

People fear what they don't know. How many are willing to believe that in Islam, killing is forbidden? People believe the lies of terrorists. People point out people who kill for, but nobody points out Christians that kill innocent people in abortion clinics. Nobody stops to think that not to long ago many people were burned alive at the stake.
Those terrorists are not real Muslims. They twist and distort the religion of Islam. Muslims are not brainwashed or misguided. We know the true Islam and we know that we are not supposed to kill others or do suicide bombings. Those terrorists are following the words of the devil and not of Allah. They will face Allah and will be sorry for the deeds they have done.
There about 1.5 billion Muslims in this world and only a small portion are fools.
So, it's not jealously that people have. It's fear of the unknown.
People fear what they don't understand. Remember Americans used to hate the Germans, Japanese, still hate Black people and many other groups of people. Remember Communists and the Russians. What Muslims are facing today is exactly the same other groups of people went through. One day, the world will realize that Islam is a wonderful and peaceful religion.

Oh, dear, another complaining Muslim. No offense, man, I've got the same religion. But, seriously, cut the crap. Every religion has its time when its put through a hard time. When Rome was in rule they were executing Christians left and right, need I remind you of the Holocaust? And now, because of some stupid extremists, Muslims are known as terrorists. Get over it, it's bound to end soon. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Kirsty M - Muslims do not blow themselves up on London tubes, 4 men did and just because there faith was Islam does not mean that all other Muslims blow themselves up. And the thousands that where killed in 9/11 how am i as a Muslim responsible? Did i do it? Did my faith do it?
Think? take your own advice. The IRA bombed and spread terror throughout the UK for a decade did you hold catholics responsible? No. Why are practicing Muslims different from practicing catholics? Just because someone has a faith does not mean that faith or other followers are responsible for the acts of a few. Bush is a christian is he not? Are all Christians to be held responsible for the death of 36,000 plus innocent Iraqi men, women and CHILDREN!
You think before accusing 1.5 billion people of being terrorist and bombers. Stupid girl.

First of all: Muslims should stop apologising for those 5000 civilians some of them have killed since 2000. In the same period of time non-Muslims have killed a million of Muslim civilians. They are those who should be apologising first.

Second: they say so only to insult. They know it's not true. Those people are trying to spark a conflict.

Third: Not every non-Muslim is against Muslims. Claiming so can make existing conflicts even bigger.

Fourth: Muslim's innocence is a disputable thing. You can say Islam's innocence, but some Muslims are very guilty. I abstain myself from those individuals. They are guilty of spreading hatred and abandoning the Ummah for their personal benefits. They are "Muslim" governments (oppressing bloodsuckers who jail people for speaking the truth) from Morocco to Indonesia, and everyone who supports those governments. They are true hypocrites as they incite hatred towards non-Muslims on one hand and kill Muslims on other.

My dear friend....the world in general is not against Islam per-se, but against the literal implantation of it by these so-called followers of Islam...who want to preach n practice their own fundamentalist or hard-line interpretation. The non-Muslims views about Islam & its followers is colored by this perception....moreover, Muslims rarely do speak against this takeover of their faith by the fundamentalists....n IMO they r also very sensitive about any critical view being offered esp. by a non-Muslim.
I don't agree with ur statement about Muslims never abusing other religions....well u have to look at history to see how native religions and their followers were either viped-out or turned into minority (read Zorastrians -- native inhabitants of Iran) or Hindus (in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India)....when Islam 'invaded' these lands.
