Ive used relaxers (Wella) earlier, but have never gotten my hair straightened at a parlour. At the parlour they use the same product and get it pencil straight. Any suggestions on how i could do that at home?

if u are not too familiar with relaxing your hair, you could actually make it fall out...

the best at home remedy for you would a flat iron, taking small pieces at time help with getting it really straight...

I dont know what kind of texture your hair has naturally, but I'd start by putting some kind of straightening product on it and then going over it with a straightening iron. Your best bet would be to get a ceramic straightener. They've come down in a price a lot in the last year or so, and dont damage hair the way that many of the other kind do.

I agree with one of the above posts. I have super thick naturally curly hair (my curls look like someones would after a spiral perm). When I ask the lady that cuts my hair for me what would be the best type of straightner to buy, she said a Chi. They are a little expensive ($100) but they are the same style and brand that salons use, and they will keep your hair from getting fried... I have found that straightening my hair takes forever (it takes me about 45 mins per side to straighten) so I have learned to accept it (you'd be suprised how many people who have straight hair want curly hair)Good luck!

Straighten your hair sections at a time. Like put almost all your hair in a ponytail (just whatever real quick) and straighten the part you left. Then put some more hair down and straighten it. If you do it in sections and layers, you'll straight all of your hair. If you just leave it all down at once, you might just get the outer layer and random pieces.

Just take a regular shower with any shampoo you want. Make sure you also us conditioner. When you're done blow dry it but when it's wet put about 3 scrunchies in your hair so it comes out evenly when it's done.
