can i dye my hair from brown to dark blonde?

i just TRIED to dye it dark blonde, but i didn't bleach it first, so its kinda an orange. would i have to bleach it then dye to get it dark blonde? im not so sure i wanna bleach it after hearing how bad it is for you. and PROFESSIONALS - not an option.

if i were you i would just go to the hair dresser before you do any more damage they will probably bleach your hair and then dye it dark blonde
