I had the problem of buying a new computer and I had no way of getting my iPod music onto my new hard drive with iTunes.

Do a web engine search for a program called iPod Rip. It's pretty straight-foward, easy to use, and does exactly what you need it to do.

Just because your computer crashed doesn't mean you have to create a new itunes account. But since you did, after you log onto itunes plug your ipod in and select transfer from ipod. It will take all the songs off of your ipod and put them back into your itunes library.
I would try to log into your old account using your previous id and password first. Especially if you have a credit or something on there. Also, if you can get logged into it...all of the songs in your library should be there.
You probably need to reinstall your ipod onto your computer too. (if you haven't already)
If all else fails...go to itunes and click on itunes help on the toolbar.
Hope this works for you : )

Call up the iTunes help line, they might be able to help, if not, there isn't really anything you can do. Sorry, i know how mad that made you. Once you plug your iPod back into the coputer, it will ask you to erase all your files on your iPod and sync with the new iTunes. That's your only option. Good luck!

I have iTunes but not an iPod, so I'd have to guess that you have to plug your iPod into the computer and add the files on it to the iTunes library.
