haha omg, I'm almost done w/college and my mom's friend has a myspace. To be honest, I would just put your profile under private so she can't keep stalking your page. They have preferences now, or if you wanna meet ppl on there but you don't want her to look at your page, go under account settings and block her profile from viewing yous :)

No, my mom still doesn't even know how to send and check email. I'm surprised she even knows how to turn the thing on.
She's only 50 too!
Sad. I tried to get her into a class and have even tried to teach her myself, but oh my goodness! That's one thing I will never do again. Some people just should not ever use the computer.
I wish my mom had a MySpace because We are on different continents and it's hard to keep track of her and keep her knowing about the grand babies.
P.S. The reason your mom is doing this is because she loves you and wants to protect you from everything. Let her, it will make for a happier mom. Why are you so upset? Are you doing things you don't want her to know?

On the news recently, they talked about MySpace and privacy. They said that parent often look at their kids' myspace to make sure they're not posting bad stuff or chatting with people they don't want you to talk to..
It's an invasion of privacy (I know) but your mom thinks it's protecting you somehow...

My mother wouldn't know what myspace was. She also wouldn't type in all caps.
I think it's responsible behavior for your mother to check your page every day. She sounds like a decent parent who cares about her daughter.

Yes of course my mom does and a yahoo 360 but im 22 years old! My mom still checks in on me! Im guess you are not very old from the sounds of it! Why does your mom do that! Cause well she cares about you! There are alot of bad people who get online! That are scarey and stalk teenagers! Then people end up missing! Use your imagination on what happens! Its to graphic! I used to get so mad when my mom would invade my space and look over me! But now that im a mom i understand why she did it and i thanked her for saving my life! You will understand when you are a parent someday!

I am a mom....and I used to have a MYSpace account, but I got rid of it because I felt it is for a different generation. Trust me, as a mom she is just protecting you from these nasty pervs that are in this world. Just make sure that you maintain yourself and keep respect for yourself and the friends that you request and you will be ok. Now if she starts requesting all of your friends as friends.....then you have a problem :)

why in the world you want to hide it even, you know how painful it is for ppl whose daughters go missing or are raped and then they blame themselves that i wasnot vigilant enough.
it is a responsibility, raising children, let her do it. when she feels you should be left alone i think she definitely will.
everybody is not so lucky to get an attentive mother. enjoy her attention and better still thank her with some memorable gift so that she doesn't feel that she's raising a thankless daughter.

nope but it must suck why don't you keep the one that your mom knows and make another without telling her and tell all you r friends about it and keep the personal things in the new on and get on the old one somethings so your mom can think you still use that one.
