I don't know where this " tramp stamp' crap started but it's really starting to hack me off. I have one and it doesn't bother me what other people might think of me for having one there. I wouldn't let it stop me from getting a tattoo there if I were you. I think that's a good place as any to get your name tattooed.

You should allow yourself to get the tattoo you want. You should not be bothered with what anyone says about you, or about someone else's opinion of you. Honestly I have a HUGE tattoo on my lower back, and I have never been called anything because of it. I have actually been told that it was a great tattoo and people love it. If a tattoo there will make you happy than get it there. As for the question, what is the sexiest place for a tattoo, that all depends on you. You know what parts are your best and which are not. I have four tattoos and each are sexy in their own ways. Like I said people love the one on my lower back (men really love it! lol), but I also have on on my pelvic bone (which is sexy for my man and I), I have one on my ankle which is nice with heals, and I just got one last night on the back of my neck which is really sexy. I think the most important thing about a tattoo, though, is being able to cover them up when you go to an interview, or other important meeting, besides that, you know your body best, and get what your heart desires!

From working and just hanging around the industry as much as I have been the last 6+ years I have't really heard the term used all too often. The few times I have heard it was normaly talking about someone who has an already known reputation in that direction getting something extremely common and with no meaning. (IE: the standard tribal with the curly edges and a butterfly in the middle - Please note I have nothing against tribal) Personally I wouldn't let it bother you because very very few people think about that phrase. But if it really does Bother you I think just below the neck between the shoulder blades might be a great alternitive for you. As for the sexyest spot ... it depends on how well the Tattoo flows with the bodies natural curves. (Example: On the shoulderblade going down - Getting something that fits the curve of your shoulderblade looks SOOO much more apealing than a straight line going down the middle of it.)

BUMP what those people say! Who are they to judge Miss Jade right here! You know who you are and what you are about. My lower back tattoo is NOT a tramp stamp-cuz Abi is not a tramp! It is a lower back tattoo and that's it.
Sexiest place? On your girl part. I have one, for me and my man to enjoy-and my best homegirl and I went and got ours done together. So, she and I have that permanent bond between us, too.
I think it would be really cool if you got your name in an Asian text in the way that you described. That would be very feminine and sexy.

Unless your getting the word tramp stamp onto your lower back **** what other people say...Who's really going to see back there anyway besides you & the people you show it off to.....

If people perceive you as a tramp after the fact that just means thay have either no dignity themselves or they're hating on you for having the gutts to do what they wish they had the cannoliez to do....

Do you that's all that really matters! **** the rest!

Get it where YOU want it, forget what others think. You should think about whether you want others to see it. You could decide on a location that is seen by others, only if you choose.
I like to above response about the hip on the side. That is exactly where I was thinking of getting my scorpion, which some would say is a common tattoo, but it's somthing I've wanted for a while now.

Do your research, be creative, you seem to have good ideas for what you want already.

Just do you!!!

I think the upper back between your shoulder blades is a good alternative. But don't let the "tramp stamp" crap get in your way of getting your tattoo on your lower back if you really want it there. That is something that was made up by men to empower themselves and belittle women.

Tattoos are really, really personal things because you're going to have them the *REST OF YOUR LIFE*. No one else, other than a future spouse, will wake up every day and see your tattoo, so don't listen to that. If you are really that worried, please please PLEASE do not get it now, though. Worrying about what others think in regard to your own body shows a bit of immaturity, and if there is any doubt, DON'T do it! This is not something you do on a whim, or to be trendy. Conversely, it is also not something you don't do because it's trendy. If you want it badly enough, get it. On the flip side, your idea sounds lovely and very personal.

Try the chinese or japanese symbol for jade, then the word jade under it. Try decorating this design with green stones around it. If you don't want it on your lower back then try your arm, a small version of it on your hip or ankle or on your calf.
