Because my cousin tried to color her hair and it didn't go well because they said she had her period so she have to go back next time. Is that true? Because I'm planning to color my hair too. And I don't want to experience the same disappointment.

That sounds like crap to me. There shouldn't be any reason why hair doesn't take color, other than the health of your hair. Sometimes if hair is unhealthy or has been overcolored that will affect how it takes color. But your period shouldn't affect that. Sounds like someone screwed up and was trying to come up with an excuse.

Yeah I heard that if you don't take well enough care of your hair then the damage varies. Either it breaks out or the color isn't right, but I never heard of a period affecting anything dealing with hair.

Often hair that has been bleached heavily, colored many times already or is damaged may not take color. Whoever made the comment about the period is totally nuts.
