How To Reheat Paella

2016-10-15 04:40:37 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

If the paella is no more than two days old and refrigerated the whole time you can reheat. I heat mine in the microwave .I spray a microwave bowl (or plate) with cooking spray so that the paella doesn't go in dry. I break it up,,,,spread it across bowl so heat is distributed evenly. They I heat on high for 1 minute. I check to see if noodles hot. If not, I rotate bowl/plate and add 30 second increments on microwave. It is usually better tasting the second time around.

So many ifs and buts.

If the paella was cooked from fesh with fresh ingredients no more than a day or two ago you should be fine. Its the rice that you are most at risk from.

Make sure you cook it thoroughly - it should be really hot before you serve it. Do you have a wok or a frying pan with a lid? I'd put it in that, sprinkle with a little water, cover and heat through gently with occassional stirring.

Don't nuke it, you'll stick up the house.

I would put it in a casserole and cover it with foil and reheat it at 375 until it was hot. That time will vary depending on the depth of your casserole and how much paella you have left over.

It isn't really good practice to reheat any food, especially seafood.

For the amount of money you'd save weighed against the risk you're taking, I'd bin it .

I covered it with cling film so the steam would keep it moist, and microwave on full for 5 mins. [mine is a 800 watt] microwave.

I wouldn't reheat anything with seafood in it. I'd eat it cold though!

You could probably risk it but it is more sensible to make the correct number of portions for the number of people eating - safer that way and you get variety!.
