After college should i join the military or the police dept. With the goal of eventually working for a federal agency like ncis or the fbi. I have a history degree with a psychology minor if that helps. Thanks.

You could do criminal psychology? or prehaps try to lobby to change certein corruptions in the state. Do what your heart is yearning to do, follow your passion, somtimes you may even have to go against the state to serve your nation.

Well, if you want to join the NCIS (I think to many people having been watching to much T.V), then you are better off actually joining the Navy and serving the the Navy. A Naval background will help you get into the door of the NCIS. Just for the record it is extremely difficult to get into the NCIS and the FBI. A law degree would help. Also do you speak a foreign lanuage? If not, I suggest learning one. For the FBI I would learn Arabic for the NCIS, SPanish might be a good start.

Thank you for wanting to serve your country we should have more people who think that way.

There are lots of ways to serve your country other than the military or law enforcement. Schools are always looking for good teachers. Degrees in History and psychology would seem to make you well qualified.
