You would have to be born without tendons.
Tendons attach muscle to the bone. Muscles are used to only stretching so far and when you begin to push them beyond their normal limit a few things happen.
First, the muscle is damaged and has to repair itself. This takes time. Each time you push the muscle a little farther and each time you have to allow the muscle time to repair itself. The repair process takes days, not minutes.
Second, when the muscles in your hips and legs are stretched beyond their normal limits, they immediately tighten up, they don't loosen until after they have been allowed to rest and repair themselves. Again, this process takes days, not minutes.
Third, if you push too far you can cause yourself damage that can only be surgically repaired. Once your muscles have been damaged and begin to tighten, if you persist in puishing them beyond their normal limits, you may pull the tendons away from the bone. This will require surgery to repair.
So, the answer is no, I can't, you can't, no one can do the splits in one day.

Sorry, but I doubt that it's possible.
However, start by holding stretches for 20-30 seconds, and gradually increase to 60 seconds.
Do not 'bounce' when stretching.
Rather than holding a stretch for 2 minutes, hold it for 1 min, have a 30 second rest, then hold for another min. You often find that you will be more flexible the second time around.
The best way to Increase flexibility is through:
Static stretching - where a stretch is held at it's maximum for a length of time.
PNF stretching - where the stretch is held and at the same time resistance is offered so that the muscles have to work in order to keep the stretch at it's maximum. This is more advanced then static stretching and is usually done in partners with one partner stretching and the other offering resistance.
Always undertake these stretches under supervision
All exercises should be performed correctly, i.e.: in splits the hips should not twist.

There is a limit to how much u can do in one day. Don't expect too much too soon. Also, u can do a light stretch as part of ur warm-up, but the really extreme stretching u should only do AFTER u have warmed up. By this i mean, before u run u can do some stretching. Then after ur run, that is when the real progress can be made, cuz ur already warmed up and loosened up.

ok. I don't think you will get this in one day.
but the best way i can think of you improving this particular flexibility is too practise getting into the splits against a wall. that is if you are spreading you legs out to the side. practise some yoga breathing while doing these to help ease the pain. I find breathing in comfort breathing out pain works for me.
girls find it easier to do lengthway splits to sideway splits so you need to find your own balance. you will not get this in one day but over time. the quickest i can say is a year. if you practise every day for 10 mins.

Most master level martial artists stretches for more than 5 hours. Maybe you should try that.
PS: I was told to never hold the same stretching position for a long time. You should probably switch every 5 minutes or so(I switch every 30 minutes though). I stretch for five hours all together. Well, that's only when I have the time to do so.

Not if your body doesn't naturally bend that way. You can learn to do the split, but not in one day (You'll hurt yourself).
For this sort of thing, it's best to build up flexibility over time. Practice a couple of minutes a day. Get a bit lower each time. Eventually, you'll be able to do it.

if your wanting to be very sore then try it and then stretch and then try it again and then stretch even more. keep doing this until you get it down. but make sure that you don't push youself too far you could pull a muscle.
it took me about 3 days to learn how to do the splits. and it hurt like heck!
good luck!

You cannot !!
If you do well hello to torn tendons and good muscle fiber !!!
You are after what is called Elasticity !!
That is to be able to be like a rubber band, you can lay out and rebound !!
It takes training so as to build the proper muscle fiber, most weight lifters have probs here.
If you look at Dancers Muscle fiber it is long and elastic, if you look at a Body Builders, well it is hard and condensed !
All about the way you train and what is the goal !

No its not, unless you dont care if you walk for a while and dont mind painful surgery, then you just get a 45 pound weight plate, and do your splitz on a slippery surface or use chairs so you can go further.
The splitz take a long time for those of us who arent naturally flexible, and if you rush it, you will only hurt yourself. Badly.

Take the sage advice givin within this forum.
It is not wise to just force your body into splits in one day if you dont already practice this stretch or do not warm up first.
