And this is according to whose statistics?

As I read some of the comments to this question I was disturbed that such ignorant people still existed. As a democrat, a college graduate, a young black man and a child brought up in a single parent home, I took offense to a few statements made. First of all no one has the right to judge anyone else for the decisions made in their life, because no one knows what that person had to deal with but themselves. People are so quick to judge and they have not the slightest idea of what's going on. If someone drops out of school that's their choice it might not be the best one, but maybe with the circumstance going on in their life at that time it seemed to be. Maybe that person who dropped out was pregnant, maybe they were sick, maybe they were dealing with the fact that they're parents were on drugs or worse maybe they were dead or just maybe they couldn't take the pressure of being picked on by snobby upper kids who wouldn't have the courtesy to hold a door open for an elderly woman. Secondly, what other party is dropout going to join, certainly not the republicans who have no sympathy for those less fortunate than them; isn’t it a requirement that you have to come from a two parent home, with a $200,000 dollar house and a paid for college education to be a republican. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against those who are financially blessed, some of my best friends are, but the difference is that they don’t act like they are better than me, because they know I am capable of doing anything they can.

This is an absurd judgement and a demeaning thing to say about another human being. First of all Democrat and Republican has little to do with real life, how many decisions you make a day thinking this is the republican way, and if you do that you are a damn fool!

And if you knew anything about the education/job crisis in American you would know that many people with College Education are finding it very hard to find a job. I can tell you about so many of my friends and people I know who get a college education and don't even end up using their degrees as they would like to. The pieces have already been carved long ago and the system jams us in till we fit!

Take this from from a youth that is neither Democrat or Republican.

The question contains an assumption that may not be justifiable. Answering the question requires acceptance of the basic premise. Statistics can lie or deceive, for example, if more people fail to graduate from high school in areas with higher Democratic registrations to begin with(perhaps urban slums vs. rural towns), then more Democratic registrations would be expected.

Hey, red elephant, stop stereotyping against us blue donkeys! What makes you think you can just come out here with no facts or statistics and tell us Democrats that we are not educated? Hmm? As a parent, you cannot force your kids to go to this or that party. If they graduate from high school, they may become Republicans or Democrats, based on, well, just themselves. Some people pass high school but then don't go to college because of financial issues.

(Psst: Bush had a C average)

edit: Quote: "This makes it more urgent to make sure our children get an education". Are you saying everyone should be a Republican?

This should create a furor among our Democrat faithful!!

Why does anyone become a Democrat?

Why would anyone vote Democrat?

Much is said about how similar the 2 political partys are but I disagree. I have issues with the GOP abandoning fiscal and social conservative values, but Democrats have larger issues, such as giving moral support to terrorists with their surrender mentality.

Aside from that, the generic difference is that Democrats tend to be liberals who believe that it is government's job to take care of every citizen, even if they have no desire to work or better themselves. Republicans tend to be conservatives who believe the government should allow citizens to better themselves by allowing them to keep more of their money to themselves to pay for their education and other of life's offerings.

So, why would anyone vote for a party that believes more taxes is a better way and have no plan to defend the nation against a tyranny like global terrorism?

It speaks to their mentality when so many of those who responded to your question state that they are Democrats and then cite their educational achievements but MISSED the entire point of your question.

I believe that you asked why SO MANY OF THOSE WHO DIDN'T GRADUATE BECAME DEMOCRATS, and the answer to that is that the Democrats have promised them an easy life on the public dole in return for votes. The Democrats, as usual, use your tax dollars to buy themselves votes, just like Nancy Pelosi just did by packing $24 billion into the last funding bill for the Military.

If being stupid and dishonest is a trademark of Democrats, someone should tell the Republicans the President is a double agent.

And to the person who says we are missing the point of your question, we did not miss it. It is not based in fact so the logical assumption is that you are speaking in generalities. If you aren't, then bring on some proof or at least a poll of some sort. I am not even a democrat, but I am not a republican. I have a brain and can think for myself.

I work on a graduate school campus where most of the instructors are Democrats. In order to teach at a master's degree level, you must have at least a master's degree. I tend to find that the less educated and introspective(check a dictionary) a person is the more apt they are to be republican. And to say things like 'Stay the course' and link patriotism to blindly following whatever our hare-brained president wants to do.

Go to any university, anywhere, find all the people that teach the teachers in the high schools, ask who they voted for, then write the question again.
