Straight forward answer--Shetland

BTW Trev....Harris ain't in the north east of Scotland in fact there ain't any island's off the north east of Scotland

A lot of the islands produce wool and fabrics. Arran, as has been mentioned, produces wool but it's to the west of Scotland. Perhaps you're thinking of Orkneys or Shetlands both of which are to the north of Scotland, maybe Harris which is in the Outer Hebrides to the north east of Scotland.

You might be thinking of the Shetland Isles but the wool is not that expensive.
