Right before Christmas, my fiance decided we should take a break. We are both fairly young (I'm 26, she's 23) and felt like she needed to take this time to experience life before she settles down. She has flat out said that she is not looking for another guy and doesn't want another guy. I feel like this is the woman of my dreams and the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. However, is it wise to remain friends on this break or should I give her space? I don't want to do anything that would potentially jeopardize our future relationship, if we have one. Any advice is welcome as I am at a loss for what to do!

Im only 16 and my ex boyfriend is 19. We want to get married in the future but iv been dating him since i was 13 and havent ever really dated anyone else and wanted to experience other things and different people before I finished school and we decided to get married. Judging on how i feel about my fairly same situation, i think you should call her every now and then and remind her you still love her but unless she ask, dont hang out with her. Give her space. Good luck! Im sure she is still planning on a wonderful future with you!

OK, in marriage you don't get "breaks" and in a relationship if someone wants a "break" from you that relationship is not meant to be. Marriage is serious and it's not meant for people who aren't serious about their relationship. Sounds like you need to "break up" with this guy.

If you need to take a break from her, than maybe she's not the one. If you are meant to be, then you will not have to take a break from one another.
