My ex-girlfriend (a big mistake) went through with having a baby and doesn't really have a job because she is finishing up college. However, the court has ordered me to pick up all the slack because of this.

Is there any way I can avoid the court's order, it seems that she should drop out of school and stop leeching off of me just because I actually earn a living.

I am thinking of moving out of state, will that help?

For now? Nothing much anyone can say to that. For the Future? Castration. (If there is anything left to chop.)

Even if you move out of state you will have to pay child support. Eventually they will track you down, garnish your wages, put a lien on your car or house, and garnish your tax returns. They will also suspend your driver's license if you do not pay. You may be able to avoid paying for a little while but they will keep a running balance of what you owe and will take it from you eventually.

If you are interested in having a relationship with this child you can petition to have joint custody where you have the child half the time. If you do this you will not have to pay child support because you will have the child half the time. Or if you give up any rights to this child and sign your future rights to the child away to the mother you will not have to pay child support.

I know it seems unfair to you, you didn't want a child, you didn't want to be tied to this lady, and you don't want to have any future obligations. Your best bet is to talk to this lady and work something out. I know it seems like avoiding it is the best thing to do but it won't go away. Talk to her and try to work something out. You could make a deal with her about providing medical coverage for the child through your insurance.

If you just give yourself a chance to step back and think about what is happening you will realize that you have a child coming. How would you feel if you were this child and you found out that your father feels the way you do. This child has done nothing to you, it didn't ask to be here, and is just a victim.

Don't be a dead beat dad. Even if she were to drop out of school and get a job, you'd still be responsible to pay her child support. If you were man enough to screw her, you should be man enough to take some responsibility for your actions. If you think the kid isn't yours then get a patenity test done. If the results show you're not the father then you have no legal ties to the baby. If you are and still don't want to do anything for this baby then give up your legal rights. Keep in mind though that giving up your rights means that you can't come by later on and demand visitation rights or anything like that.
Don't be a loser thought. The least you can do is send her the money to help her raise YOUR child.

No moving will not help. Child support is federal. Your a dead beat, If you dont want to pay, the only way is to prove its not yours. Its not leeching off you if the child is yours. In your last post, you said your family was rich, so why cant you pay, get real, Your a JOKE

If she is on welfare they will not allow her to let you sign off your rights..... They will go after you. AND THEY NEED TOO.

I bet this is just to get attention. I dont think by the way you act, that you could get laid, even by a hooker that is paid to lay there.

this is his last post ::::::::

What can my parents do to keep my younger sister from playing with another girl whose family isn't as wealthy?
My parents are very wealthy, and recently my younger sister (7 years) has been going on playdates with another girl who is from an underprivileged background.

Though they seem to get along, I just know it isn't right, and that eventually they won't look at things the same way. I think that there also might be the risk of the other girl stealing things from my sister and our family? What can we do to prevent my sister and this girl from being friends?

It seems that every time we all tell her that she can't play with her friend, she throws a temper tantrum, says that's not fair, etc.

Have a DNA test done. If the child is not yours you can file it with the court and will not have to pay.

The other side of the coin is, if it is your child then you can not avoid the court order. If you try to run, when you file income tax they will take it and locate you through employment records off your social security number.

The laws are really getting stronger against those that are considered Dead Beat Parents.

You can of course hire an attorney to try and get what you must pay reduced if you can show cause and proof of income. But, remember if she can keep track of your jobs she also has the right to take you back to court for more money, when a lot of people do.

If the baby is yours biologically, then you can't avoid paying child support, and she can enforce that through the courts to make sure you do. I know if you were my ex i would not stop till i got a penny from you. You call her a mistake, but maybe you should have thought about that before you jumped into bed with her without contraception. I feel sorry for your kid, having a daddy that wont support it.

I think you should pop some cyanide pills, that might help. I read your other questions and I have come to the bitter conclusion that you are a waste of time and space. I am sorry to inform you that you are an idiot and a piece of litter.

Do us all a favor and put your keyboard in the trash disposal. Take your mother board and stomp on it and throw you monitor out the window.

I doubt you got anyone pregnant because I just cannot see anyone wanting to be close to you for the three short seconds that it would take to have sex with you.

Have a nice day!

Get a paternity test to make sure the baby is yours. If it is, then you have to pay child support; she's not spending the money on her; the baby has to have a place to live and food to eat! Grow up and take some responsibility. You may not like the baby's mom anymore, but you are going to be connected for the rest of the child's life. Own up to it!

first of all if your ex girlfriend was a mistake you should have made sure you actually loved her before getting her pregnant and now I'm sorry but there is no way to get out of paying child support unless you can actually get custody over the kid but other then that the government will just attach your wages no matter where you go so moving out of state wont help

Your an immature, selfish, piece of ****!! Didn't you help make this baby? If so, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for it! FINANCIALLY& EMOTIONALLY! I feel sorry that this kid was not born to a real man instead of you! Even if you leave the state you are still responsible for the child! Then it will be harder for you to come to court. No matter how far you go, you are still going to owe that child some support!! This baby only has one Dad, why don't you get off your stupid *** and be a Dad to your child!!

Geez, I can't believe that you're turning your back on an innocent child that is your own flesh and blood. I guess this reflects what kind of person you really are. I'm not saying that SHE deserves the money, but that baby most certainly does. Man up and face the facts. Be a dad. Make a difference to YOUR child! Don't let him or her become another statistic.
