Nope, if you really love him and he loves you back than it doesn't matter how old he is, age is just a number. I'm 18 and my ex was 26 so to me yours seems more than normal.

I wonder why someone who is 22 is dating someone who is 17. You are still in high school and he should be out in the world working, etc.
But, overall, many couples have a 4-year age difference. If he is a good person, there should be no problem.
Also, in most states its not against the law, and as long as you don't try to get married before August, you should be fine.

No. To be honest, two years is not really that much, For instance think back to when you were a freshmen, tons of people, especially girls, were dating juniors or seniors. So age-wise, I don't think he's too old. However, the problem with that specific age group is that if he's more....hm....expirienced, i suppose than you, it could present some uncomfortable choices on your part. So I'm going to sum this up by saying he isn't too old, but consider that age isn't the only factor.

Nah. I used to be friends with a girl who started dating a 34 year old dude when we were 16. Now that's too old, but a 4 year difference isn't bad at all.

Nah, that's not too old. Older men can be very attractive. Just make sure you don't act too needy because a lot of older men hate that about younger women. Good luck with him!

okay. boys at the age of 22. act around the age of 16. yet girls at the age of 18 act around 25. so. the real question is...do you ACT to old for him? i mean. if you really like him. no one who cares for you or him is going to step in the way of your happiness. especially if they trust the boy.

no, its not too bad. girls mature faster than guys anyway. I've always (with the exception of one) had boyfriends that are a few years older. I'm 25 and he's 28

My grandparents are 7 years apart and married for 68 years. It is the stage of life that you are in - not the years - that make or break you.

You have got to be kidding me! At 22, he's still a young pup.
