either khakis/black pants, and a button down shirt. You could wear a nice sweater, too. Jeans, t-shirts and sneakers are a big no-no

People don't really dress up for Broadway anymore. I've been to 3 musicals and wore nice pants and a sweater to each (cold weather). Very few men wore suits and I didn't see any ladies at all wearing fancy cocktail-type dresses.

My rule of thumb is that it's always safer to be over-dressed than under-dressed. Besides, Broadway deserves the respect of a well-dressed, well-mannered audience. Play the part and put on your best "steppin' out" outfit and enjoy!

if you are going with a lady she might want to wear something alittle fancier so make sure you match if not i would just wear what is called business formal meaning at the very least dress pants and a tie...most people tend to dress up for the theater and you wouldn't want to feel out of place besides its fun to dress up every once and awhile lol

I just wore regular clothes. Guess it depends on what kind you're going to.

Edit: I wore a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, lol. And no one cared. I think most of the people in the audience wore the same thing. I saw Beauty and the Beast.

Wear something casual but smart and comfortable, because you will be sitting down most of the evening.

Wear what you'd like to be seen in, but won't draw undue attention. If there's one invariable rule for dressing, it's that.

Does it matter? Everyone else is there to watch the show, not you. I'd say be comfy and street-legal and have fun! Anyone says you're not dressed appropriately tell them to get a life.
