Probably not a lot at least in The Church of England. Most parents have their children baptised as a sort of social ritual.Close family Friends or relations are nominated as godparents. They go to church on Sunday afternoon, have a nice time watching the little babies being baptised, then all go back to the house for a nice tea and family chat. That's it .end of story. Most godparents have very little to do with the child's upbringing and unless the family is quite religious the child does not attend Sunday school or church.Their main religious instruction would be at mainstream school There will obviously be exceptions but in the main the baptism has very little effect on the child.

It doesn't. Baptism is merely a public profession that yes you are saved.
In acts 2 the Holy Spirit filled the men and they had not been baptized. Baptism can affect your testimony in some ways I guess but you should already be living a christian lifestyle.

There's a Spiritual Cleansing that is supposed to take place and a forgiving of your sins....from that moment after.

But, as far as lifestyles go, people are people....

Some straighten up and walk the straight & narrow, others kind of wonder back off the path.....
But once you're baptised, I don't think you're ever the same, on the inside...spiritually....you've been redeemed.

Being baptised is just water over your head as a baby. But thats a religion set by that denomination only and the guy that wrote your little black book taken from the first book written in England of which is only a book.

Baptism, the acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, changes your spirit, but not your soul. When your saved, you are accepted into God's kingdom but you yourself have not changed in your behavior and thinking. The only way to change your ways is by studying the Bible and asking God for help in your weaknesses.

John 3;16 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed on him should not perish but have eternal life.
baptism should not affect the lifestyle of a person, a person should be baptizes because of the change in their lifestyle.

baptism is an outward sign of an inward conversion, or change.

I was baptised AND confirmed and I am no longer a christian - in fact I haven't been one for about 22 years now. so I'd say it had no effect at all.

In order to be baptized, you need to be a Christian, or if you are an infant, Christian parents have promised to raise you correctly. Nothing about this ingrafting into Christ should change.

I was baptised, now I am pagan. It doesn't mean or change anything. You can't "give" a baby religion.
