I think it's fairly easy, although it can be expensive if you travel long distances at a moment's notice. If you are a student, or below a certain age, you can apply a Yound Person's Railcard which will give you a third off train fares. National Rail Enquiries http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ can give info on times and fares.

its the easiest way to travel in england. to go from London to Liverpool it gonna cost you Approx $50 US and take about 2 1/2 hours on the express trains. No student discounts that i know of. Just a tip if you get a chance go to York its an amazing city I love it there and it relatively close to liverpool.

It costs about £60 to go from Liverpool to London.
If you're a student you can get a railcard for discounts of one third, but the card costs £5 or £10.

The number 1 rule about travelling by train in the UK - book your tickets as far in advance as possible. It is *much* cheaper than just turning up on the day to buy a ticket.
You can book online through www.thetrainline.com, and can arrange to collect the tickets from Fasticket machines at most major train stations.

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ if you go here you can find out how much your journey will cost etc.. i think you can get student discount but maybe you need a student railcard for that- im not sure. it should be easy to travel but trains are so unreliable so dont be surprised if the trains delayed or cancelled or filled up like sardines in a tin!

I've known people pay £100+ for going from liverpool to London!
If it's just nipping from place to place then I don't think you'd find it too hard. Just quite expensive as you will need to keep on buying tickets for different rail operators

students can get a rail card but I'm unsure how much it is....i'll research and let you know!

It will be bloody expensive and probably lengthy as no doubt the train will not be on time or there will be engineering works on the line and heaven forbid the wrong sort of leaves falling on the lines!!
