The mistake that people have in identifying someone who believes in god or not is "how" a person believes in god. They believe their church is the one and only right way to believe in god. The majority of people on earth believe in a god of some sort. Even scientist who study the history of mankind believe in god. The biggest problem comes from one group not being able to accept another groups way of believing. The bible has never convinced me that there was a god...it was the study of science and the things god created that assured me that there is a god.

It depends a lot on how strict your definition of God is.

I believe in a higher power (I call It Divinity, and don't really care what you call it.) that is Perfect. I believe that humanity is not Perfect.

I believe the Bible (and all other religious texts for that matter) even if it is the -inspired- word of God written by men, it is still written, translated, retranslated, mistranslated by men, and therefore imperfect and fallible by nature.

I believe "religion" is another manmade facet of the belief in Divinity as well, and therefore, again, by nature, imperfect and fallible.

I believe Divinity was smart enough when we came about (whether by creation or evolution, what does that matter? What matters is that we're here now.) It knew that we would never be able to agree upon It, and therefore does NOT come forward to say "This religion/belief system is right or wrong."

And yes, I believe Divinity is gender-neutral.

That depends on which God we are talking about.

I believe in the real unconditionally loving God but I don't believe in the made up judgmental punishing God.

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and I do believe in God but I don't believe in the Mormon Church. I don't like the way (or any organized religion for that matter) tries to control peoples' lifes. Such as what we're supposed to eat & drink, who we should sleep with, what we supposed to wear, etc...

Organized religion to me is the biggest brain-wash of all time.

I believe in God in a very general sense, but that doesn't mean I believe the Bible represents Him well.
