i haven't tried meeting anyone from the internet before...i always thought before it seems lame--desperate kinda thing yanno..but everyone is trying to get me to join some singles groups etc on the net...good idea or bad?..

I went out on a couple of dates with two women I meet online.I highly recommend it.People say that out of jealousy or because there not used to the idea.Same as electing Hillary for president people bash her because of the idea that a women could be president.Anything new they either get excited over it or bash it.
My suggestion is for you to try it and see if you like it.One thing that p*sses me off about women on singles ads is they make excuses for not going out with you instead of being a women and just simply saying there not interested.Other than that don't listen to d*ckweeds that say it's for loosers.

just be very very careful girl. There really are lots of weirdo's out there. I did internet dating and had some good dates and a few that scared me. I never met with someone at night, I always picked the coffee shop (yes coffee shop everytime) at a time i knew it would be busy.
I reunited with my now bf through match.com
I had known him as a family friend 14+years earlier but had lost contact. It was wonderful that online dating brought us together. Good luck BE SAFE!!!

its plain risky, and a lil desperate. Go out in the real world and meet new people from places like the mall, bars, clubs restaurants etc, the world is your oyster! Nobody wants to meet a pead and weirdos from the net, its just not safe.

its not bad its just saying you want to meet better people than who you already know....be carefull tho cuz you dont know who is creeps and who isnt and if you meet someone off the internet in person do it as a group date so you can be with him but not alone...and once you feel ok with being alone with him on dates then go to clubs or crouded places......just be carefull....have fun! lol

sure, you can meet my boyfriend. he claims to live alone and sounds wonderful, but the truth is, he lives with me and my daughter for the past 3 years, snores, farts, smells and apparently now, he cheats.
but seriously, to answer your question, i don't think it's a good idea. better to meet someone face to face in real life - meet people who know them for real. even tho i'm not a good example, at least you have a better chance of discovering if they're liars.

I met my boyfriend of two years on yahoo chat.....and I know ALOT of people have done the same thing and have a wonderful life together....I think it is a great way to meet lots of people, but to each their own.

I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with it, but you just really need to be careful because there are alot of sex predators...So my advice to you is just be very careful who you are talking to....and make sure you have talked to that person long enough and got to know them well enough to give him personal info. for example....your address,phone number and etc.
