i have serious dark circles problem since i was teen and it's getting worse with time, no matter how hard i tried they just stay. i wear makeup daily since i am so unconfident to go out without wearing it.. lately i have started to see a guy that i really like, he has never seen me without makeup and he keeps telling me that i'm pretty --- this makes me feel bad. i am wondering that sooner or later there will be someday that i don't wear makeup before him (eg. waking up in bed....), will i scare him off? any guy would like to share? :(

i have 7 hrs sleep daily and more in weekends, even if i slept 9-10hrs, it just didn't help. why i am feeling bad is that my b/f was attracted to me because of my appearance, what will he think when he sees the bare face one day. i feel like lying somehow but i just can't live without my makeup.....

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

There are lot of skin tones that lend to dark circles. I have have olive skin so have always had them myself. Most likely you are far more bothered by it than anyone else will ever be. Forget the makeup for awhile and see how much of a difference there really is.

I've not dated a girl with eye circles, but I have seem some very attractive such women, and I don't think I would mind. If she has a great smile, good personality, and an athletic figure, I don't think little circle would bother me.

I have circles around my eyes to. They're not as dark but they will be. It's a hereditary thing. Try going to a dermetalogist and see if there's some kind of cream they can give u.

Wow anyone who would not date youcause of this would be a jerk anyways! This is a sign that your liver may not be screening toxins properly however, so you may want to see your doctor. You can hide it with a good concealer but it would be great to get ride of the source all together, right? Also, drinking green tea can get ride of free radicals in your body because of the antioxidants. That may help you.

I have dark circles under my eyes, and my bf has no problem with it. In fact, i don't think he cares. Because apparently, he likes my eyes in the sunlight because they shine like 'stars'
and i tell him,
"Well, the sun is a star, and its reflectiong off my eyes so..."

oh well. thats off subject.
I don't think it matters much. No one makes comments about them. I never wear makeup.
:D
Hope this has helped somewhat.

I have a little discoloration under my eyes as well- a little is fairly normal. You can talk to your doctor about it and see if he has any suggestions, and there are probably certain products you could try. However, your boyfriend should be understanding, and if he loves you it shouldn't matter to him. You can maybe mention it in a conversation, to see how he reacts. Good luck!

It would always be best if guys you're interested in would know who you really are. If they judge you because of that then they're not worth it at all. About that dark circles, consult a dermatologist.

You know, every person out there has something wrong with them. Humans are not perfect. If he truely loves you and you him, just level with him and let him know. He will love and respect you more if you just show him. I know that dark circles certainly wouldn't bother me any.
