I'm running into a problem getting all the drivers I need for Vista. Does anyone know where I can get them (other than Microsoft) that is legal? I'm hoping microsoft will put some more out in due time. Has anyone heard of any plans to do so?

Thanks

you dont want the "MS drivers", you actually want to go direct to the vendor of the device for missing drivers.

But..most times the MS drivers are just reworked versions of the vendors original release. but you are better off getting the most recent patches/drivers from the hardware manufacturer for the product you've installed in your computer. If the product is old, (and if MS does not have a driver for the product) then it's possible the vendor did not release a driver for that product..which means your SOL and have to go spend money to replace that product..

Well, i've never heard of drivers being illegal, it shouldn't matter where you get them from, but the most reliable sources is the manufacturer's website. you can usually visit those sites and they'll have Vista-compatible drivers available.

Your not going to get them anywhere except for the manufacturer's web site. They are ALWAYS free, so legality isn't an issue.
