I was wondering why my hair is always greasy. I wash all my conditioner out of my hair, and its still greasy, and i use the shampoo that's supposed to stop it but it doesn't. and my mom told me just to use shampoo for like 1 week. and then when i did, my hair got all straw like. .

Please someone help me out.

Maybe you just have very oily skin. When you shampoo your hair, make sure that you're cleaning your scalp well. You may need to shampoo twice each time you shower. Also, if your hair is long, just put the conditioner on the ends. Don't use conditioner on your scalp.

Well, some people have oily hair and some have dry hair. I would guess you probably have straight hair because people with straight hair sometimes complain it is oily. You just have oil glands in your scalp that work really good. I would ask at any salon about a good shampoo and conditioner for oil hair. They will likely sell one. Or you can go to a Beauty Supply store and ask the same question. Those are the experts and would have the answer for you.

Try using a combo of shampoo and conditioner that will cleanse and condition. Head and Shoulders is probably your best bet, as it will absorb that grease and condition at the same time. Never use just shampoo, because shampoo has detergents that will dry out your hair if used alone. Also, make sure that you are just washing your roots and applying conditioner from the top of your ears down.

I ran into the same problem with my hair, and I figured out the problem was I touched it too much--there's alot of oils on our hands. Wear headbands and hairclips to get your hair out of your face so you won't be tempted to touch it. If that's not the problem, use a good moisturizing shampoo/conditioner like Head & Shoulders to soak up grease. Be sure not to use too much and rinse it out really well.

i read that hormones can cause your hair to release some kind of fluid that protects the hair and keeps it from over drying. maybe this greasy hair thing is just a phase

Shave it off then. Or buy a mini oil well and stick it in the pore of your head and pump all the oil out,and sell it to Mcdonalds.
