It won't be called anything. Religion is unnatural. We'll go back to the way things should be.
The life will be great, less hatred, fewer people using their faith to dominate others, less intolerance, and science and reason will advance unchecked by ancient superstition.

Good. This is the beginning of a fearless religion , which every right and broad minded person should explore.
We are all above and beyond the horizons of any religious boundaries . We each individual has the right to ask the necessity of blindly following any custom or ritual.
This is the birth of Hinduism , where we question every activity , instead of being a meek follower. This enriches yourself as well as the religion.
Whatever you are saying is already there in Hinduism. Or if you want to start a new religion like Buddhism , Jainism , etc., etc., you are also allowed to do so.
The basis of living is following some basic doctrines of life which we call as religion . So as you cannot live without following some basic principles , similarly you cannot live without a religion . Following a good religion makes your life richer and fuller , otherwise you have to live like an animal and not as a human being in any society.

The verdict of the Vedic literature is
ahara-nidra-bhaya-maithunam ca
samanyam etat paçubhir naranam
dharmo hi tesam adhiko viseso
dharmena hinah pasubhih samanah
Eating, sleeping, sex, and defense—these four principles are common to both human beings and animals. The distinction between human life and animal life is that a man can search after God but an animal cannot. That is the difference. Therefore a man without that urge for searching after God is no better than an animal.

I will tell you a truth
If you are a christian .... you become a subject of the church
If you are a muslim .... you are controlled by the mosque
if you are a jew .... you are controlled by the synagogue
if you are buddhist ... you are guided by the monastery
but
if you are a Hindu
you need not bother about any body.
(of course there are a few sects of the society who make themselves subjects to the temple)
but still .................. you need not bother about any body
Its ages ages since I have gone to a temple
(though you have one in every street in India)
I need not become a part of the hinduism, unless I want to
they dont bother about me and I dont bother about them
believe me, more than 75% of the hindus dont go to temples not even once a week
therefore being a hindu,
is as good as being free
from religious harassments
if you dont believe me you can check up with others
.

well with me and the religion I come from my family disowned me, but on the other hand I am free from all the contraversies and all the arguement what is right and what is wrong, who is good and who is bad. So tell me how many religions are in the world, one is right and the rest are going to hell ( I don't think so). You can live your life and be a good samaritan and be called a good person, I think God has love for that.
Religion is also another form to make money, sometimes.

I don't think we have to be "free from religion".
We just have to be free from people trying to control what we believe.
Religion is part of life. In essense, your personal outlook is how you view the world.
We were built to be spiritual.
How you experience your spirituality of kind of personal.
One person might be part of some organized religion by choice or by birth, another may find their own path.
I have my own path but learn from that of others. Taoism is the official religion which best seems to express my views.

Religion is peer pressure. If everyone around you donate / are kind and pray then families follow each other.. and to some extent this social pressure helps common citizens to be moral and ethical
But.. if someone is beyond these peer pressure.. and is still just / kind / generous / does not steal etc they dont need any religion... their life is their religion

In olden days all good movements used to be called "religions" and emphasised as "sent by God".
To guide the people of their times, the religions played a vital part. Even now faith in God, supports people in distress.
Except for this, religion, is not wanted by majority of people specially youngsters., these days.
In my opinion we should not force our religions upon ourselves, like a punishment and should not become narrow minded. We should not try to distinguish ourselves from the majority around as .."so and so.." This will create hatred.

Good question. I no longer follow any religion and it is difficult. Atheism seems to receive such a negative reaction from people, whether they are very religious or not. You are never free from religion because so many other people around you believe, so it is often in your face.

I like my life outside of brainwashing cults. I at least can make choices for myself.
Pepper, you should know better than to call Atheism a religion. Religion only applies to those who believe in a god, and we don't acknowledge the existence of any god, so we CAN'T be a religion. All children are born Atheist (not knowing a god or higher power) so how can Atheism be a religion?!
