The latest trend in modern hairstyling is an updated version of the roller set of days gone by, called water perming.

The water perm typically lasts for four to five days, but may last as long as a week or more, depending on when the hair is shampooed. Shampooing the hair will remove the curl. The cost of a water perm is approximately $65 for shoulder length hair.

well its as it says your hair is shampooed just as normal theres no chemicals involved the perm rods are applied to your hair setting your hair can depend on the overall lengh of your hair 2 hours maybe less or more if they use a setting lotion with the hair but the curls will only last as long until you next wash your hair just think if you like the curls you might think getting it permed adds defininition to straight hair

A water perm is quicker (less drying time) but the curling iron will give you beautiful results

I'm not sure but, here is a shot..

Probably swimming so much that your hair forms curly, or maybe not brushing your hair after a shower.
