In Genesis, it says that all the animals ate plants. God also told Adam and Eve they could eat whatever fruit they wanted, except the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or something like that. After the flood, God told Noah that it was now okay to eat the meat of the animals. Later on it tells of other things that man is able to eat and not eat.

All things are lawful now, but all things are not expedient. It doesn't matter if you eat meat or are a vegetarian. A meat-eater eating meat at the table of a vegetarian just to cause him offense is mean and hateful. That's the sin.

Why can't humans eat pork? Or drink beer? Or smoke cannabis plants?
