Ok my guy friend & I were rele close & we were on the road to dating, but then when i never got to go to his house any more or talk to him at school anymore he wouldn't answer my calls or ims. its like he doesnt even want me in his life anymore.

If you really want to find out what's the deal with this guy, just go up to him and tell him that you and him have to have a serious discussion. It's not right that after getting really close, he just suddenly starts treating you like this. Tell him that it's really important that you talk to him about this. And try not to do this over the phone, internet, or etc. Talk to him face-to-face. Be sure you ask him what's the deal and why he's been acting so strange. There is a chance that it has nothing to do with you, but he's going through some issues.

Well it really depends on a few things. You said you were unable to go go over to his house or talk at school. Why were you not able to go to his house, or talk to him? Let me explain how a guy would interperate that.
If she doesnt come over anymore, and doesnt talk to me at school anymore, than she must not like me anymore so
"F*$K her! Im moving on". Its pretty cold hearted, but thats how it works.

I just think that he is kind of confused and he really doesent know how to like you as a frined or just a a gf and you should give him time to get over it but I dont know were you guys daiting because if you were his feelings are broke if you didnt he is confused
