I dont really understand your question.
Europe had the world's fastest airliners (The Concorde and the Tupolev-144) and it has the two largest flying aircrafts (A380 and An-225). Europe and America had traded speed records for a while and I believe that Europe has a fair chance in the days to come.
Same game as in the Land Speed records.

The Concorde was not intended to be the worlds fastest plane. It was designed as a supersonic commercial airliner. The Russian TU-144, was actually faster.
I think that as cost/type/manufacturing of material and technology will eventually lead to a new supersonic transport. I that Boeing has been using ideas in the TU-144 and Concorde to make the next generation of supersonic commercial airliners.
As far as the new Airbus 380 is concerned, I think I'll stick to the old motto..
...."If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!".....

And the market proved that the Concorde was not necessary or even usable in the market... The market will prove that the A380 is just too big... No they wont, Boeing is working on a project but I dont think that it will work either, too expensive for one...
