There are loads of Pure Bred Labs in Minnesota!
As for black or "yellow" .. I guess its all preference. Like someone else said, if you wear alot of white you should probably get a yellow lab. If you wear dark colors; a black lab. They are both equally cute! I would just go by personality.

There is no white, fox red or silver Labs except those being advertised by irresponsible breeders. These are not colors recognized by legit registries.Beware of breeders who advertise these "rare" colors.
As for color a Lab is a Lab color is only a personal preference nothing more.
Go ot the AKC site www.akc.org and look at the breed standard. Also go to clubs and find a listing for kennel clubs in Minnisota contact them and they can put you in touch with responsible, ethical breeders of Labs.

First off theirs not really a white lab they are yellow, sometimes you get a dog that's really really light and people call it white but is a yellow lab. Labs come in 4 colors, black, yellow chocolate, fox red lab (that's really a chocolate by breed standards and silver ( not recognized by the AKC).
There is no difference in the dog same breed different color. You You can find breeders in your area by looking the AKC breeders classifieds at AKC.org. You could also to to nextdaypets.com.

IVE OWNED 3 BLACK LABS. BENJY IS 89 POUNDS NOW, THEY ARE VERY GOOD DOGS TO HAVE. THEY LOVE MY 5 KIDS, MY HAMSTER RIDES ON BENJYS BACK, BENJY PLAYS WITH MY 3 CATS. I WOULD GUESS A LAB IS A LAB AND THEY ALL WOULD BE AS NICE AS MY 3 HAVE BEEN FOR MY FAMILY.

Well, if you wear alot of white, I wouldn't recommend a dark coloured dog. On the flip side, if you wear dark colours, a light-coloured dog wouldn't be a good idea. Dog hair sticks to EVERYTHING.
And you may be able to find a breeder in your local newspaper.

Any lab is a good lab- they are some of the most loyal dogs and also very very kid friendly.

I have a yellow and my boyfriend has a black they are the same except for coat color. They are the same breed with the same standards and the only variation is the color. I like the yellow just because I prefer the coat color.

I would choose black, cause there is no such thing as a 'white lab ' they are yellow labs.
