I watched the video. It was great. Ken Miller (A Catholic) is always so compelling.

Unfortunately, you are asking Creationists to be rational. This is against their nature. They have committed to believing what they believe IN SPITE OF all evidence (and often state that NOTHING will change their minds - the antithesis of rationality).

One of your respondents says that "minds are like parachutes: they only function when open."

They should be aware that though it is important to have an open mind, it should not be so open that your brains fall out.

Beyond question. And when you see it done like that - blatant, gormless idiocy delivered with a smug smile - it hard to keep your temper. I've been going through the responses with mounting irritation, finally roused to repeatedly bellowing "MORON!" at high volume.

I mean, what in the holy name of Dawkins do these people use for thinking? Here's Ken presenting a remarkable discovery that clearly demonstrates both speciation AND the direct family link between humans and chimps - and they close their eyes, stick fingers in their ears and scream 'Wahwahwah I'M NOT LISTENING'.

And moments later they're blithely claiming there's no evidence for evolution! It's impossible; couldn't happen; godditit, etc. If the subject matter were slightly different, such a wilful disconnect from reality would be certifiable.

Most of the time my feelings for Creationists are mostly concern and sadness. Things like this really make me want to see the last Creationist hanged in the rubble of the Discovery Institute.

for starters, the words 'should', 'might,' and 'could' came up WAYYYY too often.

Secondly, the guy says that our no. 2 chromozone is a combination of two ape chromozones, well, it looks different to me. I'm not a biologists, but i can tell the difference when to pictures are up against eachother.

Lastly, humans have more body atributes than apes- if our difference is the combination of chromozones, we would have less would we not?

Creationists are a non issue. Only they believe they are of importance- science rightly regards them as nothing.

Pseudoscience doesn't know what scientific methods and evidence are!

Ignorance is bliss; I say, let them keep their bliss, but let them keep their ignorance as well.
