first, put your hair in a half ponytail and bleach the bottom of your hair, let it sit, and rinse it out.
then put the bleached hair in a little ponytail so you dont get it mixed with the hair you want black.
put black dye on the top of your hair and clip it to the top of your head, and then use red manic panic dye and put it on the bleached part. it saves time when you do both at the same time.

Go to your hairdresser and let him/her do that for you. If you can't afford it then dye the bottom part first and wrap it with aluminum foil. When you're done dye the top part making sure the wrapped bottom doesn't get colored with black.

Only if you want everyone to laugh at you behind your back and in your face (the bolder ones will).....
Go for highlites. They are not only for blonds/brunettes btw...
Dark colors get red highlites and so on....
Don't go to extreme, eventually you will regret it!
I know, I did a purple Manic Panic Dye thing when I was in 12th....Then there was the all black at age 14 when I loved "The Cure".....

I would suggest going to a salon, but if you want to do it yourself (which I did and it turned out fine), choose your hair colors. Section off the part of your hair that you want black, and apply the die to only that section, being careful not to die the part you want the other color. (you may want someone to help you. then die the other section. Good Luck
