Will they tell me to go and get my car MOT'D and then produce that document?

Driving a car without an mot is a serious offence, your insurance would be deemed void.

Have you lost the MOT or never had one? If lost and the MOT was issued with in the new computer system than they should be able to pull it up from Swansea, also you should be able to get a repeat certificate. If you never had an MOT how did you tax the car? I think that a fine is imposed for not having an MOT and the driver of the vehicle can end up with points.

Your insurance will be invalid. If you have no MOT you presumably have no tax either. I doubt they will just tell you to go and get it done. MOT's are there so that vehicles are roadworthy, you are a menace to other road users and should be treated accordingly. If your brakes were to fail and you killed a child as a result you would be worrying about a lot more than a fine.

where do you live ????
is this for ontario????
is this for a car or truck ????
if this is for a car all you need is license, ownership and insuranse
if its for a truck you need the piece of paper that goes with the yellow sticker (that you should have) on the window
most places that do safetys should have the MTO (not MOT) sticker

you would normally go to court and end up with between 3-5 points on your licence ,and possibly a fine upto £1000.

I hope they impound your car, sell it and use the proceeds to give to victims of uninsured road crash scum. Have a great time at the police cell
