No more food left and I'm kind of too busy to go to the store...How much time can they go for, I did give it water. This is a Golden Retriever.

'It'? Sounds like you're too irresponsible to have a dog or take care of someone else’s'.
You aren’t too busy to puts around the Internet and ask questions. You also have time to wait for answers.
Please go to a store and get some food. It won’t take long. Call and send someone to do it for you even.
The dog may last a while without any food as a human would. The dog might go through your garbage too.

If you are too busy to go to the store to get food for you dog, I would suggest that you give your dog to someone who will take care of it. How would you like to go for a day or two without food?
Drop what you are doing and get your a-s-s to the store and get your dog some food.

unless you are going through some kind of crisis being the reason you are to busy...then you are simply too busy to own that dog. if the truth of the matter is that you have run out of food between paychecks...then share your food with him...take potatoe peelings and put them in a large pot with a gallon of water. cook until tender. add beef broth and any meat left overs from your fridge. add a couple eggs and some powdered milk. also if you have it powdered cheese. any noodles help as a filler. add half a cup of oil, and enough salt and garlic powder to flavor it. another good ingredient is cornmeal. cook until thick and well blended. allow to cool completely. then feed him from this until you can buy more food for him. keep extra refridgerated.

A bit less than you can. Please find this dog a good home if not feeding him is going to be a regular thing for you. Are you fasting btw or were you able tro provide food for yourself? I know this sounds ugly but this dog is dependent on you for its very life and if not fed it will either die or bcome a killer of other animals for food. It would be kinder to give it away or even call animal control and I am not a fan of animal control.
If it is just a case of your not being able to get by a store till this afternoon or eve or tomorrow eat a bit less yourself and share what you have with your dog. It will think people food for one day is a treat.

you don't deserve a dog! find a home for your dog or give it to an animal shelter. dogs need to eat like humans do. you are a cruel person. You could go to jail for such an act did you know that? Why did you get a dog if you are so busy? People like you make me ill.

if your too busy to stop at a store to buy food for your dog I think your too busy to even own an animal I think you need to give the dog to someone that can take care of it.

if you are to busy to take proper care of an animal you need to fined it a better home not feeding it every day is not good ! how long do you go with out eating ? probably not more than 3 maybe 4 hours if nothing else grab him a burger when you get yours

Think about it. You eat three times a day, would you like it if someone was "too busy" to get you your food?! Go get food and feed that dog!
He can last about six hours without food.
