I have had problems with my acne forever. Proactive didn't work for me either, in fact I think it may have made it worse. I guess it depends on your skin type. I have what they consider oily skin. They make it sound so bad...Oily??? What has worked for me is a cucumber melon rinse from Mario Tricoci. It smells great and leaves my skin very refreshed. I also use an oil free moisturizer. It is important no matter what acne cleanser you use make sure to use moisturizer after you wash your face. It makes no sense why oily skin would need moisturizer but for whatever reason it works. You might want to try getting a facial once in a while to clear future breakouts, and do your best to not wear makeup when you don't need to. Good luck at school!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Cetaphil works well. It helped me out a lot when I was breaking out really badly. Also try an aspirin mask, but only if you are not allergic to it!!! Lots of people I know swear by it. I have yet to try it myself though.

Aveeno wash and daily scrub work well. It helps clear the complexion and give you a 'glow'. I used it along with Oil of Olay's Clay mask. I couldn't have had a better combination. I don't even know why I'm not using it now.

pro active, I have written another answer like this for some else. Please, for yourself give it a try. Then spread the word and help others with the same problem. They will thank you. I saw a young lady behind a counter at a store and wanted so badly to tell her about this product that I actually was awake that night thinking of ways a stranger could tell her without sounding nuts. We were only in town for one day and I am not a girl, so I thought this was hopeless. However this is how much I believe this would help her

the best solution for quick results is a microdermabrasion home kit. it's impossible to say which of them will work for you, since this is very subjective matter, but Microdermx, Neutrogena and Ponds have good results for most people.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Try Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It lightens scars which cause them to fade.
