How Can i find my speaker wires in my 97 mercury tracer? or what color are the wires for each speaker, i want to hook up a different radio and i need to find out what wires go to what speaker.

I would advise purchasing a wire harness adapter to fit your vehicle. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1654.html The only time you should ever have to decode factory wire colors is if someone else foolishly cut off the factory plugs before you could stop them.

Turn the old radio on and then disconnect a wire to see which speaker stops working.

96 and 97 have the same color speaker wires
