I would never believe in a religion that thinks that G-d isn't there for everyone at all times and especially for those that need it most
what a greedy G-d you believe in that you must be dunked in water to be able to feel G-d's presence
me?
I was never baptized, I will never be baptized and yet I have a very real and strong connection to G-d
and I am well aware that those not of my religion can have that connection too, even if they mistakenly think it comes to them through a dead man, or that it's just the cosmos working it's magic, or that it's karma
G-d is here and connected to all beings whether a person is prescribed to one religion or not
and I just think it's so sad that you feel unworthy of feeling that connection just because you haven't taken a dunk

Why haven't you been baptized? Are you sure you are a Christian?
God indicates that He won't necessarily respond to the prayers of a non-believer.
Here is a prayer you can be pretty sure God will answer .... if you are actually a Christian:
God, please whisper to me how I can change to be more pleasing to You. Reveal to me the sin in my life that You want me to repent of. Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner. In Jesus' name, Amen.
(repent means to turn away from ... not just feel sorry about ... Among the first words recorded being said by Jesus in Mark 1:15 were ... "repent and believe")

Praying...believing...worshipping is all idiosyncratic.
Do what works for you. Do as you feel; what your heart and soul beckons you to do and don't worry about anyone else thinks, says or does..
If you get nothing out of praying it--in MY opinion--means just that, you get nothing out of the act.
So, you find things that mean something...fulfill something in you.
I believe that God can create miracles. But say you pray for a thousand dollars...it isn't going to happen by God suddenly, miraculously placing a wad of hundreds in your hand. think it usually happens by God guiding you to situations that will allow to earn or find or manifest the money.
Faith is as much about being pro-active and getting off your butt and making your own reality as much as it is anything else.

I wouldn't know as I'm a baptised Christian. I feel His presence always. Metaphorically speaking I spend a good deal of time snuggling in my Father's lap, being safe, being loved, being taught how to be the best me I can be. Who could ask for anything more?

Sometimes that happens to all of us. Sometimes we can't "feel" God there. But He is still there no matter what. He's promised to never leave or forsake you. We can't base our life on feelings. Make a decision that this is the day that the Lord has made I WILL REJOICE and be glad in it.

The presence of God is there just if you think to yourself that its not, you've tricked yourself and you wont get the experience

You can't feel it because it is imaginary.
