After realizing this nice guy vs jerk contoversy... I always wonder if it was an age issue.. Like girls usually tend to want to have fun at the begginning so they go for the "bad" guy for the challenge and fun. Then they get tired of it and settle for the "nice" guy...
I dont want to come sounding like I am trying to generalize.. Ofcourse there might be some exceptions... but I want to see if this idea is true or not by all the answers as a whole...
For the ladies.. now I would like to know your age and if your currently with a "nice" guy or "bad" boy.. and your thoughts about this issue.
For the gents.. do you consider yourself a "nice" guy or not? And whats your status and age.

well I am 17 i'm not Currently With anyone.. but i was just barely with an Extremely NICE guy. and i ALWAYS go for the nice guys.. well at least that's all i ever have. and if you are a nice guy and think nice guys always finish last that Really isn't the case.. you yourself might just not be going for the right girls.. because i know lots of girls that go for the nice guys.. although i do also know some that go for the bad boys. but it can also go the other way you know.. the guys always going for the 'bad girls' instead of the ones who Really care about them... at least that's what happened to me.

Hmm...i think of the excellence between a 'beneficial guy' and a 'undesirable guy' is somewhat fuzzy. people are not black and white, or perhaps the nicest guy has 'undesirable' moments. i'm 24 and the guy that i'm with has similarities to that. He could be beautiful, yet he can truly have particularly an side - I shaggy dog tale with my girlfriends that he's my Mr. Darcy. satirically, the guy that girls people placed on a pedestal (i.e. Mr Darcy) is strictly a mixture of 'beneficial' and 'undesirable'. women people in simple terms want form. Too candy and a guy gets boring.

im a nice guy as in tht i complement my girlfriend and basicly be a gentileman around her but when were alonand start makingout etc. thats when i turn into the "bad" guy im in my teens an ive been going out with mygifriend for 6 months

I am 48 - I have been with "bad boys" and "nice" guys. All have let me down and now I am single - bad or good, humans will disappoint.
