they feel uplifted and just in defending their faith little knowing that in truth they are just exposing the hypocrisy of their beliefs

I confess that there have been times I wished I had not posted or had been a little more kind. It is hard to distinguish from serious answers and the ever present knuckle head.
I usually try to answer the honest question and the angry person with a normal answer. Sometimes it can come of glib or perhaps sarcastic though that is not the intent.
However, for the one that is petty and obviously sarcastic I feel no shame in answering in kind. Perhaps I should just avoid them, but there are times when my "Irish" gets up and I go on the offensive. I do try to answer accurately none the less.
Just because we are Christian does not mean we cannot act petty. Having heard this question though I wonder if I should treat even those as serious.

Most of the time, if I give a sarcastic answer, it is because my sense of humor just runs that way, and no harm is meant. I take it the same way when I see alot of sarcastic questions and answers by people toward Christians.
Sometimes, though, I do get angry and lash out, and those times, yes, I do feel regret, sometimes to the point where I have cried over it. I guess we all lose our cool sometimes, but, as a Christian, I feel as if I ought to be able to maintain myself for the sake of Jesus. I want to bring people to Him, not push them away.
Still, I do want people to know that being a Christian isn't all about how holy I am, or even that it can't be fun.
I've tried to answer your question as sincerely as possible.

I'm a Christian and I have not posted any sarcastic answers or questions to atheists or other religions. I have however, posted to other Christians who think that just because they bear the title "Christian" that it gives them a license to judge all others.
I am sick to death of people I call "plastic Christians". They are fake people and hypocrites. They sing the song of Chrisitianity, yet do not follow what they preach.
As I do not want others telling what or how to believe, I do not force my religion or beliefs on others. However, those who are within my religion, I will correct and back it with the Bible.
Religion or lack of religion is your own journey. I believe it is between you and God first and foremost. However, for aethists, I guess that sentence can't apply. It is up to the individual to seek truth. I feel I have found the truth, you feel you have found the truth. We are people on this planet. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree, right?

I usually don't post them sarcastically, but I just say what's on my mind and what I believe and how I think it would help them, yeah sometimes I do feel a little guilty, but I'm just trying to help them. No regrets though.

I'm not christian, but I do believe in God and I love what Jesus taught. I feel bad about some of the things I have posted. I was going to show you the question and how I answered, but it disappeared off my list. Why is it gone? I've had a few disappear on me, it doesn't even show anything about it. Anyway, someone was being so disrespectful to Jesus one day. The questions were making me sick, and so angry. I snapped. I said alot of mean things. One thing I said was about the asker being angry about having a little penis. Oh man, I feel so bad about that answer I gave. I still get angry about people being so disrespectful, but I will never snap like that again. You have any regrets about anything you've written on here?Oh yeah, I did email him and apologize and said what I did was uncalled for.

I have on a couple of occasions allowed my human pride to get in the way of my Christian beliefs and have made a comment that may not be the best. And yes, I do feel guilt over it and I try my best not to take things personally that are said by atheists but I'm not perfect. I attempt to answer every question with respect for their beliefs and in a respectful manner. That is what Christ would do.

Atheists post a lot of sarcastic answers to Christian peoples' questions ...
I think it is a game people play. Some cross the line though.

I've always been a bit sarcastic with my humor, but I also try to be respectful. If it is a serious question, I give a serious answer. If I see that the question is not of a serious nature, then my answers usually aren't either.

I have very few regrets for my sardonic answers, I must say. When someone insults my faith or blasphemes my Savior, I am not noted for letting the culprit get by with it.
Speaking of that, you must think that Christians are meek little bowls of mental tapioca. That, or else you've never read the biographies of people like St. Teresa of Avilia. Now THAT was a Christian who had a way with a snappy comeback.
One time, she'd had a horrendous trip and was muddy, exhausted, and not a happy camper. She complained to the Lord, Who told her, "But Teresa, this is how I treat all My friends."
Her reply? "Then, Lord, it is not surprising that You have so few!"
Now THAT was sarcasm at its finest.

Your question implies that Christians DO such a thing, rather than all the lurking trolls who love to pounce on this board (she says as she starts to count the multitude of sarcastic answers posted towards Christianity on this particular question alone).
