her, stuff them into the hole and run one to each terminal, or do I put one speaker wire into the hole and y-connect into two to run to the terminals?

Either way would work similarly, but the Y would use less wire overall and probably be cleaner and easier to deal with.

As long as all the (+) terminals are connected together and all the (-) terminals are connected together, and as long as your speaker wire isn't too thin, there's no difference between the various speaker wiring methods. You can run two wires from each amp terminal, or run one wire from each and split into two, or run one set of wires to the first speaker and connect another set from the first speaker to the second. Electrically it's all the same.
