When Jesus died and was resurrected by God three days later, He took away all your sins. JESUS IS ALIVE now.
He took away all the sins of the world, past present and future. (People that died before Jesus was crucified had their sins forgiven if they had faith that God will in the future come down from Heaven and die for their sins as is written in the Old Testament). But someone will only have their sins forgiven if they ask Jesus take away all their sins. They have the choice to be saved.
You have to pray with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is your Lord and personal saviour and that He died in order to make a way to have your sins forgiven. (Someone can only go to Heaven when all their sins are forgiven). Then by faith the Holy Ghost which is GOD will live in your spirit and the Holy Ghost will guide you in everything that you do.
Now the above process is a very special process. In the Bible it says that the biggest miracle that can happen is when someone is Born Again.
Now - someone gets baptised AFTER they have been saved. The baptism is so important because it is a outward showing of the inward transformation that occured when you got saved. (Believe me when you are Born Again it is like you are a whole new person).
The baptism is so important because it is the BURYING of the OLD SELF. When you are immersed in the water your old filthy self is buried. When you come out of the water you are a NEW CREATION in CHRIST. (All this occurs spiritually but must be done physically ie the baptism).
The above is the dynamics of why we get baptised. But the real main reason why we get baptised is because the BIBLE SAYS so and the Bible is the only Word of God.
Jesus loves you unconditionally. Call on Him and be saved.

We don't. That's something that the church does just for ceremony. If Jesus died for evey ones sin there is no need. Baptism, in and of itself, doesn't save people. It's only a symbol of the inward change that has already taken place.

Baptism does not remove sin. Only Jesus death at the cross did that. When we are baptised, we are identifying with His death and His ressurrection. It is a testimony of faith

There are two ceremonies Jesus gave for every believer to observe-communion and baptism. Why should we get baptized?Because Jesus did,and he did it publicly.Getting baptized tells the world about your faith in Jesus as your Savior. This lets people know that you mean business with God,and that you're going to live for him ,with courage and excitement! Not only does God want you to profess Him by being baptized in water, but He also wants you to be a witness for Him by being filled daily with His Holy Spirit. Why be baptized in the Holy Spirit?Because we need the power to we recieve from it.Acts 1:8 says,"But you shall recieve power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you."We don't need to depend on our own strength and ability.God makes unlimited strength and power available to us through the Holy Spirit.

all people carry the burden of the original sin (dont know what to call it) from adam and eve. baptism is the ceremonial cleansing of that burden, like getting out from under the mistakes of the past. Starting new in faith with God... Thats wat i was taught.

He did not die for our sins, each person is responsible for his or her sins, that's the whole point of life, otherwise this life would just be a chaos of evil. You don´t need a ceremony to feel that you belong to the Church, you only need to belong with the Believers and act like one, with sincerity, it's all in your heart mate !
