i have photoshop 7 installed in my computer and my brother got cs2, which i think is the new version for photoshop, can i have both or will cs2 take over photoshop 7? i need to know because i got use to using photoshop 7.

Yes, you can have more than one version of photoshop on your computer at a time, with no problems whatsoever. You can even tweak the new version to use the plugins on old version so you don't have to reinstall them.

I've tried installing 2 versions before and nothing wrong happened.

But then, I got used to CS2 so I uninstalled the older version CS

You can have 2 Photoshops on your PC, yes.

Another option is to add a second drive and install it there. Yes you can have multiple Program files. I have 10 drives, and I have 4 Program files. I also have multiple Photoshops installed so I know it will work. To install to the second drive you will have to select custom install on some applications. On others all you have to do is change the C:\, to a D:\ or whatever you second drive letter is.
