Literally? No way! ;o)
I do think we can make that sort of exchange by our choices and behaviors. We may not meet Lucifer and draw up a quid pro quo contract, but we do often _think_ "I'm willing to give up on (insert principle here) in order to gain (insert prize here)."
We sell ourselves out in the small bargains we strike against our consciences. And we never end up attaining the prize we bought.
I do think it's a useful picture. That's the essence of what redemption is about. We sold ourselves out and Jesus bought us back. His life for ours.

Ever see the movie "Wall Street"? Oliver Stone comes up with a plausible way of selling your soul. And who's to say whether Mr, Gecko was the devil or not?

Technology is the beast and it is tracking your every purchase, move, payments. In this way whoever comes to claim themselves as the anti-christ will predict your past and present because of technology that allows for it. It will be able to predict your future based on the aspect of money. The greed for money to live comfortably (not all people are greedy, but all people do believe it is a Blessing from our Lord Jesus, in all actuality it is the curse!) The churches of religion has falsely led many astray with presenting that money is a blessing from the Lord because of their obedience (good works) to the Lord.
Now this is how the anti-christ will fool the masses ... is because it will be able to predict one's future based on selfishness. If one does not follow the teachings presented from the false prophet of the church of religion, then through technology anything that revolves around money will be severed. When that happens the selfish one's will immediately repent and ask forgiveness for not believing and they will be reinstated just as quickly as it was taken away. But those of the family of Christ who have given up everything materially have nothing to lose. This means to become homeless. When one is homeless it cannot be used as a tool against the believers, because there is nothing to take from them. All it can offer now is the worldly riches of comfort here and now. That is not the message of Jesus. You know it and I know it.
So now one has to make a choice ... Serve GOD or serve money! One cannot serve both!
Does this make sense?

I don't know. I don't personally believe you can sell your soul, but in the absence of proof or disproof of the devil's existence, I can't say that its impossible. I will say that I tend to avoid things that would "imperil my immortal soul" simply because I know that my conscience would never let up. So I avoid things that are wrong, and try and stick with doing the right thing. Thus the question is relatively moot to me.

It happened in a George Clooney movie.
Tommy: I had to be up at that there crossroads last midnight, to sell my soul to the devil.
Everett: Well, ain't it a small world, spiritually speaking. Pete and Delmar just been baptized and saved. I guess I'm the only one that remains unaffiliated.
Everett: What'd the devil give you for your soul, Tommy?
Tommy: Well, he taught me to play this here guitar real good.
Delmar: Oh son, for that you sold your everlasting soul?
Tommy: Well, I wasn't usin' it.

I don't know about meeting the devil at the crossroads, but I'm sure you could sell your soul. If nothing else, offer it on Ebay. Someone will buy it.

I have met people who genuinely believed that anyone who was rich, famous, and/or infamous (at least more than they were) had in fact "sold their souls" in a very literal sense. In their minds it was impossible for someone to achieve huge degrees of success without supernatural "cheating".
It always sounded like sour grapes to me.
