I never understood this either. Also, they claim that those who have never heard of Christ (ie infants) will get into Heaven because they can claim ignorance. Well, shouldn't we stop telling people then so they get into Heaven?

We try to "save" the unsaved b/c you are NOT infants and you HAVE heard of God, so if you choose not to follow Him then you are making a conscious decision to go against him. The anti-christ will not unite the world under Jesus name. And if you're going to try to use the Bible for one instance, why not listen to the whole thing. The Bible also says to go into all the lands and make disciples. Satan has deceived you into thinking that all of this is a joke, but the end result will be very SERIOUS. I hope you make the right decision.

not every religion attempts to convert, but two of the largest the Christian and the Islamic do. there is much debate over the reasoning of this purpose since the Muslim religion is publicly associated with much of the terrorism in the world. the christian religion believes that the unchurched should at least have an exposure to God . a "walk across the room" greeting if you will. some attempt to greet. some attempt to sow. some attempt to harvest. a true believer wants to share their beliefs because of the feeling they have inside.
the Bible says in Revelations that their will be many false
prophets before Jesus returns to unite the world. i don't understand how you translate that into the "Antichrist". thank
you for your opinions. when people recognize God or Christ
even in a negative way it let's me know that he is still present in the minds of us all. good luck!

You need not worry that Christians are making it easier for the anti-christ. Christians are called to bring as many people back to God as possible before that final battle takes place. We are not trying to unite people in "one church" in the same sense that the anti-christ wants to unite them. That will be a big part of his deception. He wants one "actual religion" so he can gain control of everything and will eventually lead them into worshiping him. Christians are not seeking one religion but are encouraging a personal relationship with God through Christ. Even though the various denominations are in conflict over how to best live...i.e. how to do things, they are all in agreement that Christ is the centerpoint.

Not all religious people try to convert others. Some faiths teach that interested people must approach them, not the other way around. When was the last time a Jew or person of a Native American faith tried to convert you? How about a Pagan or a Buddhist? Zoroastrian or Hindu? Please don't paint ALL religious, or even all Christians, with one broad brush.

The Bible does not say the antichrist will unite the world under one religion.

But the earth will have just one religion soon.

Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

The great commission was to spread the Good News about JESUS . To enlighten the people about the free gift of redemption from sin and eternal life in the presence of GOD. We are advising people of their GOD given free will to make a choice for salvation through the blood of JESUS or accept the consequences of denying CHRIST. The consequences of the choice to deny CHRIST is eternal separation from GOD.

Thats a good point - If you want everyone to become Christian - then you would seem to be guilty of fighting for the anti-Christ.

Jesus said we are to be the way and the light of the word. That's all we're supposed to do is spread the word. The rest is up to those we spread it to!
