I just got this email from my ex. I still love him, but I don't like his attitude. What do you think?
I don't want to have to feel like I have to call you because I feel forced. Our conversations don't feel the same way to me as before. I feel strained. This is partly because it is not important to me, I find myself running out of minutes. Maybe I am being heavy handed, but I cannot give you the time you want and the ability to say I can call you at this time. I would rather say, let me get back to you when I feel comfortable, rather than, tomorrow, because I know tomorrow I am going to be busy. There is no rush, either, to do anything, and if there was a rush, I would really need a good explanation...
I do not want the responsibility of being the reason you are visiting NYC. What do you want now, out of our conversations? Be clear. Right now I feel there is nothing to be had except that we had a history. I know what I want. I want to stay in touch and feel good when I speak to you.

You definitely need to tell your ex exactly what you just told us. You will feel 100% better.

Tell him he is pressuring you and you don't like the way he is speaking to you and you need some time to think about everything, because of his attitude. That is why you are feeling strained, because you know something is not right about the way he is being and you don't like it, stick to your instincts.
