I was told that when your kidneys are failing if not taken care of then you can drown in your own waste. Is this true? If so what are signs to watch for before it happens? Thanks in advance

The answer to that is much more complicated than can be answered here in this forum.

But.....Yes.

If your kidneys are not functioning properly, then you have a build up of toxins/waste products from the filtering of the blood. The blood builds up toxins, and this can have a myriad number of 'bad' effects on the body. Ultimately, from RENAL FAILURE, you can die.

Technically you don't drown. You die from toxins building up in the body.

When the kidneys no longer function, the blood becomes toxic which leads to death.
