How do I get my volume control back in the systray?

Mine has disappeared and I want to put it back.

go to control panel and sound settings and then tick the check box saying pin to systray

GO to the control panel and then select sound speech and audio devices and then select audio devices

As said above but sometimes needs a restart for it to finally show up.
