My friends and i signed a petition and we got like 200 ppl 2 sign, they said they will let him do it next time and when he did they flipping sent him home and he was suspended for two days for disobeying the skool rules! i was like wtf you ppl said that you would let him express his personality by doing his hair however he wanted. and the principal was all like" i see you are a little upset" and i was all like"i aitn't a little upset... i am really mad cuz you told him he could do what he wanted" the principal was like "it was a distraction to the skool." and the day the dude came bakk, he had pigtails...they sent him home for that too! so everybody had them in thier hair the next day and they still won't let him do any of that stuff with his hair!m isn't that stupid???? what should we do about it!!!!

The hairstyle is pretty cool, BUT the school is looking at it like this, It is a "distraction" meaning people focus on his hair. Perfect example is your question about his hair on Yahoo Answers...Are ya feelin me?
Younger people have a God Awful time as it is focusing and don't like school as it is (for learning purposes) so a kid with a spiked up 'hawk will attract attention in class and in the cafeteria...Good/Bad attention are both distracting...
Creeps will razz on his do' and a fight may break out, people will wanna touch the spikes and talk about it rather than learn about "Davy Crockett and the Alamo"....
No, the style is NOT bad at all, He should be free to do what he wants. I am just explaining it from the school administrators view point.
Plus, copycats will freak out their parents and the kid will be like "But Joe has a mohawk, thats not fair!" and momma will call "Principle F_ucktard" and complain about "Joe's hideous 'hawk and scream about parents allowing their kids to run amuck"....
Are ya starting to see where this leads to?
It may seem retarded but it does go down like this. I know. I once temped in a middle school office and saw this type of sh_it go down....

That is really not fair...its jut hair for God's sake!
Wow, I go to a public school and there are more than a few punk guys with that kind of hair...
I guess its just a stereotype that he's dangerous or something.

I think it should be explicitly listed in the dress code for the school to punish him.
However, now that he knows that it is part of the school's practice, he must make up his mind whether he will accept it, challenge it, or move to another school.

not at all. If a person wants to do that to his hair he should be a loud to. If the school code says nothing about it. Then he should wear it.
