my son is 10 and he wants to grow his hair a little longer and the condition it so it will be silky instead of stiff he has light brown skin (caramel) and black hair he is 4'7''

Yes, he probably see's it at school a lot and likes the looks of it. a lot of boys are more into longer, straighter hair now. It is sort of the new style, and it looks good. I say go for it!

I've learned that good looks and appeal take time to develop. Your son is 10 years old and just getting started on taking care of himself.
Honestly nobody can tell you if your son will look good or not because we can't see his face to give you an answer.
Let him change his hairstyle, his dressing, his shoes whatever, and let him discover himself if he looks good or not.

Yes, alot of boys are leaning towards the longer straight look versus the short and spiky.

I don't know what to say. YES- let him choose what he wants. NO- He's still 10 and probably makes stupid mistakes he will later regret.
