God only knows. It's a miracle. I've been doing it for ten years now - and - it even amazes ME!
Scripture for the day is usually the subject. Stuff that happened during the week. God gives me stuff to preach on. I can't explain it.
Training in homiletics certainly helps.
We also recycle a wee bit!! ;-)

Many preachers use current events and apply them to bible scripture or problems that are happening in church. For example, if a preacher notices that money offerings are low, then his sermon may center around that topic.

If a Preacher is truly filled with the Holy Spirit, the Lord will direct and guide him every step of the way. :)

If the preacher have been encouraging people to bypass out and harm or kill homosexuals then, particular, he'd be committing a hate crime. Preachers are unfastened to evangelise what they desire so long because it does not overtly violate the guidelines of the land. all of us have freedom of speech.

When all else fails, preach on tithing.
That's what the churches I went to seemed to focus on. That and going to hell no matter what I did or didn't do.
Father K, you I believe. You're a fine example of your faith. Others...not so much.

THEY INTERGRATE THERE SERMON WITH THE NEIGHBORHOOD THEY ARE IN.....TRYING TO APPLY THE BIBLE AS THEY OBSERVE THE TIMES.
