Yes. How Can We Know?
Of course, saying that miracles could have happened does not mean that they did. How can we know, in this 20th century, whether back in Bible times God worked genuine miracles through his servants on earth or not? What kind of evidence would you expect for such things? Imagine a primitive tribesman who has been taken from his jungle home to visit a big city. When he returns, how can he describe to his people the wonders of civilization? He cannot explain how an automobile works or why music comes out of a portable radio. He cannot build a computer to prove that such a thing exists. All he can do is tell what he has seen.
We are in the same situation as that man’s fellow tribesmen. If God really has worked miracles, the only way we can learn about them is from eyewitnesses. The eyewitnesses cannot explain how the miracles happened, nor can they duplicate them. They can only tell us what they saw. Obviously, eyewitnesses can be duped. They can also easily exaggerate and misinform. If, then, we are to believe their testimony, we need to know that these eyewitnesses are truthful, are of high quality, and have proved that they have good motives.
Indeed, the testimonial evidence is absolutely convincing. Jesus really was raised from the dead on Nisan 16, 33 C.E. And since that resurrection happened, all the other miracles of the Bible are possible—miracles for which we also have solid, eyewitness testimony. The same Power who raised Jesus from the dead also enabled Jesus to raise the son of the widow of Nain. He also empowered Jesus to perform the lesser—but still wonderful—miracles of healing. He was behind the miraculous feeding of the multitude, and He also enabled Jesus to walk on water.—Luke 7:11-15; Matthew 11:4-6; 14:14-21, 23-31.
Thus, the fact that the Bible tells of miracles is no reason to doubt its truthfulness. Rather, the fact that miracles did happen in Bible times is a powerful proof that the Bible really is the Word of God.

Surprisingly, a lot of orthodox Christians who are faced with terminal illness seem to lose their faith altogether. This indicates that they have always wanted to believe in miracles, but when push comes to shove, they can't.
Their disappointment turns to fear and a feeling of being unworthy, neglected and abandoned. Then there is resentment.
As you can understand already, all these are negative feelings with drain the body of its natural capacity to help heal from within.
If you have ever witnessed a miracle, no matter how small, you tend not to expect the honour for yourself. But because you know such things happen, you still have hope and also, acceptance of your situation.
These are positive emotions and speed healing.
I am not a Christian. I have studied a lot of doctrines and found them fascinating, but I would never belong to an "organised" religion.
In the 50 years I have lived, I have been lucky enough to witness a lot of "small" miracles, and once, a bit of a larger one.
These aren't miracles as stated in the bible, nor are they the kind of miracles someone on acid might shout about.
They were simply beautiful things that happened despite logic or reasoning.
So yes, I believe in miracles. They are rare but they happen.
If Jesus was accredited with turning water into wine and curing the sick, I can believe that. Look at Sai Baba ... he does the same today.
The tales of Moses were probably exaggerated to force converts into supplication, but who can be really sure? Perhaps Nature had a role in the parting of the sea waters etc.
There are lots of improbable events. It doesn't make them impossible though.
Whatever you, as an individual, truly believes in, makes it the truth.

I do! The people did not perform the miracles, God did! Today, miracles still happen but we fail to recognise them because we see through blurred vision! The greatest miracle in my life is God sent His only Son to die for me so that I can be reconciled with God.
I think you mean prophet, not profit! We have the Son of God, why do we still need another prophet? Once you have the best, you no longer need anything else.

If you believe Jesus and Moses were good men, you must by default believe in their miracles, you cannot have one without the other. Your belief is not complete otherwise. However if you refuse to believe in their miracles which were seen through them by God then that is your personal believe and not common to everyone else.
You said why has their not been another Prophet since 2000 years ago? So you accept Jesus and Moses were Prophets...fine! then if you re read history, there has been another prophet. Prophet Mohammed who came 1400 years ago.
There has not been another prophet after this because it is God's will that there shall be no more Prophets as according to God his Message has been completed through his sent prophets. However Jesus is the only Prophet who will return to fulfil His Mission but he is not a new Prophet.

even the devil believes in Jesus, Moses and Mohamed for that matter, of course Christians believe that Jesus performed miracles and still does, probably because Faith in God through Jesus Christ is a miracle in itself, you need Faith to believe it because it is a Gift from God simply enabling you to understand and believe that His Son Jesus Christ died so that you and me will not die in the hell to come but live a New Life through His (Jesus) resurrection power and Blood of the cross where sinful man slaughtered Him. All you have to do is acknowledge Him as your own personal Lord and Saviour, but can you? Or are you blinded to the Truth like so many of us who were and those that still are? The Truth will set you free. Can't you see that Jesus rose from the dead, thats why so many believe in Him, He is the Son of God and the embodiment of Love itself.

Jesus would not have had such a following if he had not preformed any miracles. It says that John the Baptist was the last prophet, the one who announced that Jesus was the Lamb of God. The miracle today is that he is still alive in the hearts of those who love him.

One miracle that is still happening is that we continue to live...we haven't annihilated each other. There are still people out there capable of love, of altruism, of joy. That in itself is a miracle.
Do I believe in Jesus' miracles? Whole-heartedly. I've had a few in my own life, and they are directly related to Him...since I acknowledged and accepted Jesus' Lordship over my life, I've been transformed. I have a happy marriage, a stable life, I've been healed of many physical and emotional problems, and life has meaning and purpose. I guess you could say I'm a walking miracle that Jesus did.
BTW the word is "prophet." There hasn't been another "official" prophet because Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies. Jesus is the Messiah, the Saviour, God's anointed Son.
Look around you with a truly open heart and you too will see the miracles. Be prepared to be surprised by joy.

I am convinced that the miracles did happen. There are whole books that try to explain them away, usually written by people who have no experience of Jesus' power in their lives. Once you have believed and trusted in Jesus there's no problem in believeing them. Hey, He's God!
A prophet... well, we were told in the Bible that Jesus is it, the Messiah, the Christ, the ultimate, the very best there ever could be. Sure, He gave the gift of prophecy to His Church, and there are prophets around today, but Jesus is the one we are to follow and to trust in

The miracles of Jesus are documented by historians such as Josephus.
There is no need for a prophet when Jesus lives within us.
